Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
The standard assessor qualification, for people who assess occupational competence in the workplace and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in other settings.
About this course
Usually known as CAVA. If you assess learners in a workplace or a vocational setting, this is the qualification employers and awarding bodies expect you to hold.
It combines the theory of assessment with two practice units, so you finish it able to assess in the workplace and in other environments such as workshops and classrooms.
Who this is for
Designed for learners aged 19 and over. There are no formal entry requirements, though NCFE notes that learners may find it helpful to have already achieved a level 2 qualification. You need access to learners you can assess, in order to complete the two practice units.
