About this course

NCFE built this diploma with Swissport, one of the largest ground handling companies in the world, so the content reflects what the industry actually needs rather than what a college thinks it needs.

Five graded mandatory units cover the core: health and safety, aviation security, communication, customer service and problem solving. You then choose six optional units from ten, covering things like check-in and travel documentation, baggage processing, supporting passengers with special requirements, aircraft turnaround, marshalling, and dangerous goods.

Who this is for

Open to learners aged 16 and over. There are no formal entry requirements, though NCFE notes that a level 1 qualification is helpful preparation.
