About this course
This award is for people who need to understand internal quality assurance without being required to carry it out. That includes managers overseeing assessment, staff moving towards an IQA role, and anyone in a centre who needs to know how the system is meant to work.
It is a knowledge qualification. There is no requirement to practise internal quality assurance while you study it.
Who this is for
Designed for learners aged 19 and over. There are no formal entry requirements, though NCFE notes that learners may find it helpful to have already achieved a level 3 qualification.

The functions and role of internal quality assurance, planning and sampling, supporting assessors, managing information, and the legal and good practice requirements. 45 guided learning hours.

Internally assessed through a portfolio of evidence and externally quality assured by NCFE.
