CMI designed this diploma for practising and aspiring middle managers: the people who have to translate strategy into something a team can actually do. It covers managerial style and behaviour, managing the expectations of the people around you, and understanding the culture you are working inside.

Who this is for
Offered to learners aged 19 and over. CMI does not specify entry requirements, but you need to be in or moving into a management role in order to complete the assessment.
What you will study
Four mandatory units, plus at least 13 credits from the optional group.
Managerial styles and behaviours
How you manage, why, and the effect it has. 6 credits, 20 guided learning hours.
Managing stakeholders' expectations
Identifying, understanding and managing the people with an interest in your work. 7 credits, 25 guided learning hours.
Understanding organisational culture, values and behaviour
How culture forms, what it does, and how it can be shifted. 7 credits, 30 guided learning hours.
Personal development as a manager and leader
Assessing your own capability and planning your development. 6 credits, 20 guided learning hours.
