About this course

This is CMI's diploma for managers who are already running something: a team, a department, a region, a function. It is credit based with no mandatory units, so you build it from the areas that matter in your actual role.

The unit bank covers management and leadership principles, developing and leading individuals and teams, managing performance, equality and inclusion, coaching and mentoring, stakeholder relationships, conflict, and workforce planning.

Who this is for

Offered to learners aged 18 and over. CMI does not specify entry requirements, but you need to be in a management role in order to complete the assessment.

What you will study

There are no mandatory units. You complete any combination totalling at least 37 credits from the level 5 unit bank. Some combinations are barred, and we will help you build a valid programme.

7 credits, 25 guided learning hours.

Principles of leadership practice

8 credits, 30 guided learning hours.

Principles of developing, managing and leading individuals and teams to achieve success

6 credits, 27 guided learning hours.
