Learning support and teaching assistant
Work alongside teachers to help children and young people learn. This pathway takes you from a first qualification through to a level 3 diploma, with English and maths available alongside if you need them.

Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
The starting qualification for teaching assistant and classroom support roles. You need to be working or on placement in a school or college.

The full teaching assistant diploma. Sixteen units, UCAS points, and a placement in a school or college throughout.

Understand how to support children and young people with special educational needs, including speech, language and communication needs.

Entry 1 through to level 2. Reading, writing, and speaking and listening, assessed separately so you can build up at your own pace.

Entry 1 through to level 2. Practical maths for work and everyday life, with 75 per cent of the assessment based on solving real problems.

Learners on this pathway can also complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check and a work placement of 81 to 200 hours, arranged with us.
